Defrosting

Care must be taken when defrosting food so that the outer parts, which are the first to defrost, do

not develop harmful bacteria.

Food is generally defrosted in the refrigerator: this entails a slow defrosting process.

You can halve defrosting times by using this oven setting.

It is ideal for defrosting:

- food to be eaten raw (such as strawberries, for example),

- food to be cooked: chicken will defrost in half the time.

Defrosted food should be eaten soon after defrosting.

Place food to be defrosted on the dripping pan on rack 2.



When defrosting is complete, turn

back to "0" to turn the oven off.
